In a disturbing incident on Friday evening in Vihiga County, a Catholic church bishop was severely injured, hands and legs chopped fter being allegedly caught in an affair with a married woman at a lodging in Majengo.
Local residents, enraged by the situation, confronted the pastor, leading to a violent altercation. The pastor was found by authorities from Serem police station without his hands or legs and was rushed to Mbale Referral Hospital for urgent medical care.
Residents expressed their frustration, claiming the pastor had been taking advantage of their wives while they were away providing for their families. While the community’s anger was evident, the authorities condemned the violent actions taken by the locals.
The police have vowed to investigate the assault and bring those responsible to justice, while also ensuring proper legal procedures are followed.
