In a heated speech in Vihiga County on Saturday, former Vihiga Senator George Khaniri launched a scathing attack on Kipchumba Murkomen, Kenya's Cabinet Secretary for Sports, demanding his immediate resignation. Khaniri claimed that President William Ruto is deeply dissatisfied with Murkomen, accusing him of incompetence and failing the president and the people of Kenya.
"President Ruto is not happy with you, and you should resign before the day ends because Kenyans are upset with your lack of action," Khaniri declared. He also warned members of Ruto’s cabinet to be cautious, as their actions could tarnish the president's reputation.
"The president appointed you to excel in your role, not to let him down. Be mindful of the advice you’re giving him, as public criticism is growing," Khaniri added.
Khaniri's comments echoed those of Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei, who had made similar calls for Murkomen’s dismissal just the day before, accusing the CS of failing to fulfill his duties effectively.
