A mother from Vihiga County is calling for justice after her two-year-old son was allegedly sodomized by the son of a local bishop. The incident occurred when the young boy was sent by his father to deliver a package to his mother while she was away. Upon arriving at the house, the bishop’s son is accused of taking advantage of the boy’s vulnerability and committing the crime.
The arrest took place on Friday evening after police officers at the Serem police station apprehended the suspect, who was reportedly enjoying drinks at a local bar, hours after the incident.
The distraught mother revealed her shock and anger, demanding justice for her child. "I was on my normal duties, and the man had been sent by his father, who is the bishop, to deliver a cargo to me. After I left my son at home, he took advantage of my absence and assaulted him. I am asking for justice," she said.
The bishop's son is currently in police custody, awaiting court arraignment on Monday. The community is left reeling from the disturbing incident, as authorities work to ensure justice is served.
