In Kitale town on Wednesday, as reported by a reputable source, the Standard, a dramatic version unfolded after angry residents went badly with Rebuen Mkwama, a notorious killer who has reportedly claimed the lives of many people in the area.
This time, things turned contrary to Mkwama after trying to humiliate a resident, where a mob confronted him in a nasty manner, throwing stones at him as others spotted taking a petrol from motorcycles wanting to burn the suspect alive to death.
However, police officers attached to the Kitale police station swiftly surpassed the region where the confrontation was, shooting bullets in the air to disperse the angry crowd, and went on to snatch the suspect from the hands of residents, pushing him to the police land cruiser and running away with him to the station.
Some of the residents who were buying the blood of the suspect followed the police vehicle, but upon reaching the station, they were blocked from entering, whereby officers pleaded with them to let them fiddle with their pact, and once done with the investigations, the suspect will be held accountable in the court.
