Mysterious Body Found Near Athi River Raises Suspicion Amid Ongoing Missing Persons Case

Residents of Kitengela are in shock following the discovery of an unidentified man’s body near the Kitengela/Athi River Interchange on Monday, February 3.

The deceased, believed to be around 30 years old, was shirtless and had his legs tied with a piece of cloth. Witnesses suggest the body was recently dumped, likely at the riverbed, and show signs of strangulation.

Human rights activist Hussein Khalid confirmed the chilling find, as law enforcement from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the National Police Service launched an investigation.

The body has since been transferred to the morgue as authorities work to establish the man’s identity.

The discovery comes amid ongoing uncertainty regarding the fate of two men still missing in what locals are calling the 'Mlolongo Four' case. This raises further questions about the connection between the body and the missing persons.
