The family of MCA Maitha could not contain their joy after he was found alive. Maitha had reportedly gone missing on Wednesday morning after threatening to table a motion for the impeachment of Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti.
Upon resurfacing, Maitha spoke with a media outlet, assuring the public that he was in good health and that nothing untoward had happened to him during his disappearance.
"I’m okay and unharmed. Thank God they didn’t do anything bad to me," said MCA Maitha.
When questioned about why he had been ignoring family calls and his whereabouts during the search for him, Maitha responded that he would disclose the full details of the ordeal at the appropriate time.
He also requested that the media refrain from bombarding him with numerous questions, urging them to allow him some rest.
Maitha further revealed that during the 24 hours he was missing, he had not eaten and had been feeling angry.
In a bold statement, the MCA declared that Governor Wavinya Ndeti would not find peace, emphasizing that if the governor failed to meet her responsibilities, he would move forward with plans to initiate her impeachment.
